# Review responses from stamps

> Link a review stamp to an approver response. Applying it to a submittal can now update the review status as well as mark the PDF.

Finish your markup and record your review response in the same step. Under **Org Settings → Stamps**, add or edit a stamp and choose its **Submittal approver status**, such as Approved or Revise and Resubmit. Existing stamps can be mapped without uploading them again.

Apply the stamp from a submittal's **Annotate & Download** view. The placement preview shows an enabled switch to update the approver status, with a reviewer selector when needed. After the stamped PDF saves, Specset records the response, fills an empty returned date, and updates the submittal's overall approval status based on its reviewers' responses.

Turn off the switch to place the stamp without changing a response. Stamps without a mapped status continue to work as before.
