# Integrations overview

> Connect Procore or Autodesk Build to your organization, link each Specset project to its external project, and choose what syncs in each direction.

Specset connects to **Procore** and **Autodesk Build** so submittals, RFIs, documents, specifications, and drawings stay in step between the two systems. On Procore, daily logs and photos sync as well. An integration is connected once for the organization, then each Specset project is linked to one external project, and every record type is configured on its own page for that project.

## Connect an integration

1. Open **Org Settings → Integrations** in the organization sidebar.
2. Click **New** and choose **Procore** or **Autodesk Build**, then click **Connect**.
3. Sign in to the provider when its window opens and approve the access it asks for. If your account belongs to more than one company or hub, pick the one to connect.

The integration appears in the list with its status. Open it to rename it, change its base URL (used for links back to the provider), or choose whether people found during sync are added to Specset as users. Use the row menu to **Disable**, **Reconnect** after a password change, or remove the integration.

Procore needs the Specset app installed in your Procore company before you connect: follow [Procore setup](https://docs.specset.com/docs/procore-setup) first. Autodesk's requirements are on the [Autodesk Build](https://docs.specset.com/docs/autodesk-build) page.

## Link a project

Each Specset project links to exactly one external project.

1. Open **Project Settings → Integrations** in the project sidebar.
2. Click **Connect Integration**, choose the integration and the external project, and click **Connect**.

To create the Specset project from the external one instead, choose **Import** from the Projects page’s overflow menu: see [Import a project](#import-a-project) below.

## What syncs

Opening **Project Settings → Integrations** on a linked project shows the **Overview**: the connection status, a link to the external project, and a table of every record type with what moves from the provider, what moves to it, how often, and when the provider was last checked.

Each record type has its own page in the sidebar. Every page follows the same shape:

- An **import** card (provider → Specset) and a **publish** card (Specset → provider). Each direction is independent, and Off means nothing moves that way.
- A **runs** control on each card. Imports run on a schedule you pick (every 15 minutes, hourly, daily) or only when you click **Poll now**. Publishing happens when a record changes, or only when someone pushes it.
- Settings save as you change them; the **Saved** label in the header confirms it.

The ↓ ↑ glyphs next to each record type in the sidebar show at a glance which directions are on.

Individual records can also be synced on demand. Open a linked submittal, RFI, or document and use **Sync down from** or **Push to** the provider, or select several in a list and use the bulk sync action.

## Copy settings from another project

Once one project is set up the way you want, apply the same configuration to the others instead of repeating it.

1. On the integration **Overview**, click **Copy settings…**.
2. Choose the source project. Only projects connected to the same provider are offered.
3. Untick any record types you want to leave alone, then click **Copy settings**.

![The Copy settings from another project dialog with a source project chosen and the record-type checklist](https://docs.specset.com/images/docs/integrations/copy-settings.png)

The copy replaces the selected settings on this project: sync directions, scopes, schedules, review options, and the daily log and photo rules. Anything specific to the target project stays as it is: linked records, sync history, synced document folders, and photo album mappings. Submittal types, response statuses, and custom fields are matched **by name** in the target project, and the dialog previews how many matched before you confirm; anything without a match is listed so you can map it by hand afterwards.

## Import a project

To start a Specset project from a project that already exists in the provider:

1. On the **Projects** page, open the **⋯** menu and choose **Import**.
2. Choose the integration and the external project.
3. Optionally choose a project under **Copy sync settings from**. Leave it empty to start with all syncing off.
4. Click **Import Project**.

The new project is created and linked, and if you chose a source project its settings are copied once the import finishes, with types, statuses, and custom fields matched by name.

> **Security & trust:** Specset is a web-based application, nothing is installed on your machines. For security and compliance details, see the [Specset trust documentation](https://trust.specset.com). Organizations in CUI mode cannot connect either provider.
