Over the past few weeks we moved Specset's agents and document processing onto a newer generation of AI models. Each change was measured against real construction documents before it shipped.

Faster, more careful answers. The project agent now answers most questions in about half the time, and it is more careful about which document governs a question. Project Reviews reach the plan for your approval in about a minute and a half instead of several minutes, and those plans came out ahead in blind comparisons.

Sharper drawing reads. Schedules transcribe more accurately, especially on scanned sheets where door and panel schedule cells used to be misread. Dense panel schedules come through in a single pass, and fine print in general notes reads correctly. When an issue is marked up on a drawing, the box now lands on the specific row, note, or device instead of outlining the whole schedule.

Quicker comparisons and background tasks. Change detection in Plan Set Comparison runs more than twice as fast. Search filtering keeps more of the results that matter, and review summaries read more clearly.

There is nothing to turn on. New conversations, reviews, and uploads use the new models automatically.

Edit the schedule where you see it. Duration, remaining duration, start, finish, % complete, actual dates, calendar, and logic are all editable cells in the Gantt grid, and the network reschedules as you type. Drag a bar to move it, drag its end to change the finish, or drag the dot on a bar onto another activity to link them. Predecessors and successors take shorthand like A1010, A1020 SS+2d. Undo any change with the toolbar button or ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z, and pinch or Ctrl+scroll to zoom the timeline smoothly.

See the logic behind every activity. Select an activity to list its predecessors and successors in the side panel, with driving links marked and relationship types and lags editable in place. Its links are highlighted on the Gantt, and Trace logic narrows the view to its chain of predecessors or successors, by depth or driving links only.

Calendars. Each schedule has named work calendars with their own work week, holidays and shutdowns, and make-up days, and any activity can run on its own, such as a seven-day calendar for concrete cure. Durations, lags, and float count workdays on each activity's calendar, and work in progress is scheduled from its remaining duration as of the data date, the way Primavera P6 does it. P6 and Microsoft Project imports and exports carry every calendar.

Print to PDF. Print the Gantt as a vector PDF, 11×17 landscape by default. Choose the paper and orientation, columns, timescale, and date range; print the whole schedule, the current view, or critical activities only; and include baseline bars, relationship lines, and the critical path.

Share a drawing coordination review as a single marked-up PDF. Select issues in the issue list, choose Export, and select Annotated drawings (.pdf). Specset gathers their marked drawing sheets and adds boxed captions that explain each issue beside its location.

Only sheets with visible issue annotations are included. Sheets shared by several selected issues appear once, with their comments together. Add the optional issue index for a compact list with links to the marked drawings, or leave it off to start straight with the sheets.

Flatten annotations is on by default for sharing. Excel and CSV exports remain available in the same menu. Large drawing exports can take a few minutes, so keep the export window open until the download begins.

Add the same group of people to a project without selecting everyone individually. Create a team under Members → Teams, choose its members, and assign it to one or more projects. You can also select teams when creating a project or adding project members.

When someone joins or leaves a team, their membership in the team's projects updates automatically. People keep their existing roles, and removing a team from a project doesn't remove anyone who was also added directly or given a project-specific role.

Finish your markup and record your review response in the same step. Under Org Settings → Stamps, add or edit a stamp and choose its Submittal approver status, such as Approved or Revise and Resubmit. Existing stamps can be mapped without uploading them again.

Apply the stamp from a submittal's Annotate & Download view. The placement preview shows an enabled switch to update the approver status, with a reviewer selector when needed. After the stamped PDF saves, Specset records the response, fills an empty returned date, and updates the submittal's overall approval status based on its reviewers' responses.

Turn off the switch to place the stamp without changing a response. Stamps without a mapped status continue to work as before.

Daily logs now sync with Procore. Every Procore daily log section is a Specset entry type: notes, manpower, deliveries, safety, visitors, calls, inspections, accidents, quantities, dumpsters, waste, plan revisions, observed weather, and the read-only sections filled by other Procore tools. Pick a direction for all of them and override the ones that differ. Entries belong to the system they were written in. Procore entries arrive marked via Procore and are never sent back; Specset entries, including the ones the AI extracted from a quick log, are published once they are confirmed and never overwritten from Procore. Choose whether to wait for Procore approval or bring pending entries in flagged for review, and optionally publish each day's approved summary as a Procore note.

Photos sync too. Procore photos appear in the Photos tool filed in albums that mirror Procore's, and photos added in Specset are uploaded to the matching Procore album, created on first use, or to a fallback album you choose. Photos filed with a daily log entry also land on that day in the Procore Daily Log. The sync is additive: nothing is deleted on either side.

A clearer integration setup. Opening an integration now shows what syncs at a glance, with a page per record type: an import card, a publish card, the polling schedule, and a Poll now button. Specifications and drawings ask which system is the source of truth. Copy settings… applies another project's configuration to this one, matching submittal types, response statuses, and custom fields by name, and is also offered when importing a project from Procore.

Plan Set Comparison now opens the revised drawings with changes marked directly on the PDF. Revision clouds and numbered callouts put each change in context, with a searchable change list alongside the plans. Select a change to jump to its location and compare close-ups of the original and revised detail.

Use Download compiled PDF to take the marked-up set out of Specset. The export includes your annotation edits and the changes you choose to include, with an optional change-log cover that links to the revised sheets. Export the full comparison or select specific sheets, ready to share with your team.

Comparisons are also more accurate when drawings have been reorganized. On redrawn sheets, the agent compares individual details, schedules, and notes to separate content changes from layout shifts. It recognizes renumbered sheets and follows details that move to another sheet, reporting the move and any edits without counting the same detail as both removed and newly added.
