Bid opportunities & screening

On this page

Use Bid Opportunities to keep potential work in one organization-wide list. Extract the basic facts from bid notices, review the source material, and record which opportunities need another look.

Availability: Bid Opportunities must be enabled for your account. Agent-based intake also requires Agent Sessions and a configured bid opportunity agent. Creating, editing, and reviewing opportunities requires a Manager or Admin role. Ask your organization administrator if access or setup is missing.

Gather opportunities

  1. Open Agent Sessions at the organization level, click New Agent Session, and choose your organization's bid opportunity agent.
  2. Attach an invitation to bid, RFP, or bid notice. For a procurement website, paste its URL and describe the opportunities you want.
  3. Specify useful limits, such as trade, location, or upcoming bid dates, then send your request.
  4. Review the extracted opportunities in the result, or open Bid Opportunities in the organization sidebar.

For example: “Extract current building-renovation opportunities from this notice. Include the bid number, due date, estimated value, and source reference. Skip expired listings.”

A notice containing several opportunities can produce several records. The agent checks for existing opportunities before adding them. You can also click New in the list to enter an opportunity yourself.

Check the facts and record a decision

Search the list and open an opportunity to inspect its scope, dates, contact details, and source. Follow the source references before relying on a deadline or requirement. Use Edit to correct or complete the record.

Click Review to work through the list, or select specific rows first. Add comments explaining your decision, then choose:

  • Advance: Mark the opportunity as reviewed.
  • Maybe: Keep it for further consideration.
  • No Go: Record the decision and archive the opportunity.

Use Unreviewed, Reviewed, and Archived to return to the appropriate queue. An archived opportunity can be unarchived. “Reviewed” records that someone checked it; put any pursuit conditions in the comments.

Screen the full bid package

Opportunity extraction gives you the intake facts. For a closer look at contract terms, add the full invitation and supporting documents to a project, then run Contract Review.

Name the package and the concerns that matter to your team: payment terms, bonding, damages, notice deadlines, work windows, or schedule obligations. Review the cited findings before deciding whether to pursue. Keep that decision and its conditions with the opportunity.

Once you proceed, use the same project documents for estimates, design review, and proposal or report templates.

Share the list

Click Export to download the opportunities, or select rows first to export a subset. Choose the available spreadsheet or CSV format. Include your review comments so the next person can understand the decision.
