Daily logs and photos

On this page

Daily Log and Photos share one field record. Photos filed with an entry appear in both places, and every photo can link back to the day it documents.

Daily Log and the connected Photos workspace are currently in beta. Email support@specset.com to request access.

Capture the day

  1. Open Daily Log from the project sidebar and choose the date you want to document.
  2. Use Quick log to type a note, dictate it with the waveform button, or drop in photos.
  3. File the entry. Specset sorts the information into the right type, such as a note, manpower, delay, or photos.
  4. Open an entry's Edit action if you need to adjust its type, time, location, or structured details.

The day header shows the available weather snapshot, while the feed keeps every entry in chronological order. Photos added here also appear in the project's Photos timeline.

Review and export the report

Switch from Feed to Report to review the same day as a structured field report.

  1. Review the day summary and approve it when it is ready.
  2. Add or revise manpower, work performed, delays, and photos in their report sections.
  3. Click Export PDF to download a shareable record of the day.

Organize project photos

Open Photos to see images from daily entries and direct uploads in one place.

  • Use the timeline to group photos by day, week, or month, then search or filter by date, tag, location, or archived status.
  • Select several photos to add them to an album, download them together, or archive them.
  • Open a photo to review its details, tags, linked daily-log entry, and nearby photos without leaving the page.
  • Use Albums for collections you maintain yourself. Smart albums group photos automatically by month, tag, and location.

Ask the agent

The project agent can read daily logs and photos alongside the rest of the project record. Ask for a date range, a manpower or delay summary, or photos of a location. Its answers link back to the supporting entry or photo.
